Bring your own consumables if you plan to BBQ. Enter the Harding’s Paddock Picnic area via Carmichaels Rod off the Ipswich-Boonah Road. The entrance gate to the picnic area will be locked by the Park Ranger at about 6:00pm, so please arrive prior to that. BAS will have the code to the gate combination lock to allow departure later in the evening. The telescope setup area is on the open grassed field on the south side of the picnic area. You may need to move equipment about 20m to set-up, so bring a trolley if required. The site has a BBQ, picnic table, running water and toilet. Limited overnight camping is permitted, but let BAS know in advance if you plan to camp the night.
