BAS Members Event Calendar
All the events listed in this calendar are for Brisbane Astronomical Society members and their invited guests. These events are not open to the general public. We are generally so busy trying to get our astro-equipment to work that we really do not have time to attend to any public visitors. Sorry, but our time under the stars is limited and precious.

Event Details
These nights are designed to assist members of BAS that are learning how to setup and operate their telescope or other astro gear. While the location is within the Brisbane metro light pollution bubble, it still provides sufficient stars to practice telescope alignment on bright stars and even polar alignment for members interested in astrophotography.
All BAS members experienced with computerised telescopes are encouraged to attend to provide assistance to others.
Attendees should aim to arrive on-site a minimum of 30 minutes before sunset. This allows easier initial equipment assembly, which can become a source of frustration after dark.
A Facebook Event will be posted about 10 days prior to each date. Please “click Going” if you plan to attend. That will allow BAS to inform you if the event needs to be cancelled due to weather conditions.
The location is: Tingalpa Aero Modelling Club, Stanton Road, West, Tingalpa.
