Telescopes will be available for the public to view the moon and various astronomical objects such as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. This is a family event and caters for young children learning about space and our solar system planets. Telescopes will be operational from a little after sunset through to about 8pm.

Telescope owners to be set up before the end nautical twilight.
Only telescope and equipment owners to park in Maleny Golf Club car park.
Any visitors to park in Porter’s Lane and then walk to the club house.
Headlights to an absolute safe minimum within site of the Golf Club.
Red or orange lights only, directed down, within 100metres of Golf Club.
Mobile phones to be dimmed, and preferably dark adapted.

Brisbane Astronomical Society will conduct this public telescope evening in partnership with the Witton Barracks Community Hub adjacent to Witton Barracks Park and Indooroopilly Railway Station, 9 Lambert Road, Indooroopilly.
Telescopes will be available for the public to view the moon and various astronomical objects such as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. This is a family event and caters for young children learning about space and our solar system planets. Telescopes will be operational from a little after sunset through to about 8pm.

The telescopes will be set up in the courtyard between the hub buildings. Walk through the park and up the driveway between the buildings.
The event is free, but if you would like to make a gold-coin donation, it will be gratefully accepted.
