Membership of BAS

As a member you will share your interest, and to learn from, many other keen amateur astronomers extending from the Southern Downs to the Sunshine Coast, and beyond.  You can join fellow members at a wide range of member-only and public astronomy events held at our Warwick, Calvert and Maleny venues.  Our range of telescopes and astronomy equipment will also be available for hire.

Membership is for a calendar year, January 1st to December 31st.  However, if you join BAS late in a calendar year (October through to December) your membership will carry forward to December 31st the subsequent year.

Membership Application Steps and Payment

Annual membership fees for renewing and new members are:

– Full member $35.00
– Full Family membership $40.00
– Concession membership (Student and Pensioner) $20.00

Two simple payment options:

1- Pay online through your bank by direct deposit. (Just make sure to insert your name in the payment description box eg, JillSmith.  Please omit any middle names – squeeze as much as possible of your first and last names into your bank’s character limit. )  And then send an email to membership@bas.asn.au telling us:
– your name,
– names of any other people covered by your application,
– category of membership you are seeking,
– address and a phone number,
– email address,
– your bank direct transfer payment amount.

Once you have completed the TriBooking payment process could you then please send an email to our membership manager  membership@bas.asn.au  and let us know.   TryBooking sometimes neglects to let us know a payment has been made.
